The Former “Ellen DeGeneres Show” DJ Stephen “tWitch” Boss has died from suicide at age 40.
He rose to fame on the reality show “So You Think You Can Dance” before joining “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” as a D.J., guest host, and, later as an executive producer.
His death was ruled a suicide by the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office. According to sources, he died by suicide via a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head on Tuesday in a motel in Los Angeles.
Stephen was married to dancer Allison Holker(34) and shared three children with her. The couple celebrated their 9th wedding anniversary just three days before his passing. Hooker confirmed the unfortunate incident and she is heartbroken by the loss of her husband.
Stephen appeared in movies and TV shows like Magic Mike XXL, Modern Family, and Step Up All In. Boss and Hooker were active on social media and frequently posted fun dance videos of the couple.
The late dancer was born in Montgomery, Alabama, and earned his nickname ‘tWitch’ as a child when he couldn’t sit still. He graduated from Lee High School in Montgomery in 2000 and studied Dance Performance at Southern Union State Community College and Chapman University.
