Milly Alcock 22 who played the role of young Rhaenyra Targaryen in HBO’s hit TV series House of the Dragon – joined her costar star Emma D’Arcy and director of the TV series Miguel Sapochnik to accept the award for the best TV series – drama at the 80th Golden Globe Awards in 2023. The award show was held on January 10, 2023, at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California.
Milly’s costar Emma D’Arcy recognizes herself as non-binary and played the older version of the character of Rhaenyra Targaryen in the TV series. While accepting the award the fans caught Miley acting funny as she was giggling and seemingly under the influence. The moment went viral in no time.
After acting in the House of the Dragon, a Game of Thrones prequel and adaptation of George R. R. Martin’s fictional history book Fire and Blood, Milly Allock had a busy year in 2022.
The actress made her television debut as a teenager in the romantic comedy Wonderland in 2014 and went on to star in the Disney Channel in Australia from 2015 to 2017. She also starred in TV series like High Life and Janet King in 2017. Milly starred in the comedy-drama series Upright and won a Casting Guild of Australia Rising Star Award in 2018 and was also nominated for Best Comedy Performer at the 10th AACTA Awards. Alcock returned for Upright’s second series in 2022.
In July 2021, it was announced Alcock had been cast as the young Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen and she was nominated for the Critics’ Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.
