Henry Cavill confirms He Will Not Return as Super Man – “My turn to wear the cape has passed”.

Henry Cavill confirmed that he will not return as Super Man in an official Instagram statement to his fans on Wednesday, December 14.

Before it was announced that he will join for another superman movie but the star wrote to his 23 million Instagram followers: “I will, after all, not be returning as Superman. After being told by the studio to announce my return back in October, prior to their hire, this news isn’t the easiest, but that’s life.”

Instead of the Super Man movie starring Henry Cavill, another Superman movie focusing on the younger days of superman is in development and James Gunn is writing it. Therefore another actor will be cast for the role.

Gunn and his DC Studios co-chair and co-CEO Peter Safran met with Cavill to share the news. The actor wrote “Superman is still around, Everything he stands for still exists, and the examples he sets for us are still there! My turn to wear the cape has passed, but what Superman stands for never will. It’s been a fun ride with you all, onwards and upwards.”

This news is a bit shocking to the fans since he confirmed his return as Superman in a cameo in the new Black Adam movie.

He later confirmed the news via Instagram in October.“I wanted to make it official that I am back as Superman,” He said.

After the announcement, many expressed their love and support for the actor.
