Britney Says Things Went “Too Far” After Prank Calls To Police & Asks Fans To Respect Her Privacy

Britney Spears left a message to her fans after the police visited her house on Wednesday, January 25. She received a wellness check from the police after the police was contacted by fans. The prank calls were made by some of her fans about the singer’s well-being after she deleted her Instagram account.

The pop star, 41, tweeted, that police never entered her home and she explained the wellness check invaded her privacy. Britney also asked her fans to allow her to be more private in the tweet on Thursday, January 26.

The “Criminal” singer later explained in Twitter the incident with the police in her statement. “As everyone knows the police were called to my home based on some prank phone calls. I love and adore my fans but this time things went a little too far and my privacy was invaded. The police never entered my home and when they came to my gate they quickly realized there was no issue and left immediately,” she said.

Britney asked fans to respect her boundaries and says she is uncomfortable with all the media coverage she is receiving about her private life. The police officers found out that the singer was not in any sort of danger.

“This felt like I was being gaslit and bullied once the incident made it to the news and being portrayed once again in a poor and unfair light by the media,” she wrote.

She continued ” During this time in my life, I truly hope the public and my fans who I care so much about can respect my privacy moving forward. All the love, B.”

The incident occurred after Britney deleted her Instagram Account suddenly earlier this week.
